This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our small and dynamic Theological Education Institution based in the beautiful Southwest of the U.K.
Spiritus Theological College (formerly SWMTC) has been training people for ordained and Lay Ministry for over 40 years and for the last two years has also offered training in Chaplaincy and Spiritual Direction. Due to increased numbers of students, including the addition of a new Elizabeth Pathway for ordination, we are seeking to recruit an additional staff member to bolster our academic team.
Purpose of the Role: To play a key part in Spiritus College’s training of ordinands and Readers/Licensed Lay Ministers (LLM) drawn from Diocese of Exeter and Truro. The person appointed will have specific responsibility for the ordinands of Truro Diocese, supporting them through their academic and formational training.
Remuneration (Litchfield Scale): £14,307 (0.4 FTE) plus a housing allowance of £5,000 (0.4 FTE) plus pension contributions. Travel and other expenses will be reimbursed.
Working hours: Part-time, 0.4 (16 hours per week), including some evenings and weekends.
Contract: This is a fixed term post for 2 years beginning in August 2026.
